So here’s the breakdown to try to help anyone debating. For the price the quality is pretty incredible. I really like the coat. Even if the material isn’t exactly what it advertises, what can you expect for $100. It definitely looks the part. So if it’s your style don’t hesitate. Now for the sizing. It DEFINITELY runs big. I’m 6’1 and 180 with a slim build. I usually wear a large in almost every top with the exception being coats. With coats I occasionally can fit into a medium if the arm length and and torso is long enough as I know I’m not going to machine wash coats thus I don’t worry about shrinking. So I went on faith and ordered a SMALL and it’s literally perfect. The sleeve length is almost exactly right…stops right at my wrists. And The coat (with my build) is still baggy enough to wear layers underneath. And by baggy I mean I don’t like my stuff too over sized.
According to the item description the coat is ‘crafted from sumptuous mohair’. Mohair is luxury, natural fiber. However, the tag says 100% polyester… safe to say I won’t be purchasing from this brand again.
I have several high end overcoats and the make of this coat meets and closely exceeds the quality of those. The material, stitching and the close, thought out details are so modern and innovative. Valabasas, you definitely did your job with this piece. I'm 6'2, 230 and I've seen people say that it was really oversized but if u look at the pics on the site, they show you how the coats fit. I usually wear a XL, I ordered a L and it fits perfectly. It's definitely an overcoat, meant for layering and comfort, hence the satin lining. Great job Valabasas 🙂
