The timeless words of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, have always struck a chord with me: "show me your friends and I will tell you who you are." The people we choose to surround ourselves with can greatly impact our lives. That's why, in my journey of building Valabasas, I made a conscious effort to surround myself with individuals who inspire me to work hard and strive for greatness.
I didn't want to be surrounded by yes-men who only showered me with praise. Instead, I sought out friends who weren't afraid to offer constructive criticism and help me improve my work. My brother has been an unwavering source of support, always pushing me to do better and never settling for mediocrity. My wife has also played an instrumental role in building Valabasas, encouraging me during moments of doubt and urging me to reach for the stars.
It's crucial to steer clear of negative or envious individuals and instead seek out people who truly understand and support our dreams. By building one-on-one connections with good friends, we can create a strong support system that helps us achieve our goals and become the best version of ourselves.
